Anzhelika Doliba is a Ukrainian born artist based in New Jersey, USA. She is a multidisciplinary artist working in silverpoint, pencil, charcoal, pastel, acrylic, oil, and clay. With each medium, Anzhelika is known to achieve high realism and detail to capture the essence of the subject. She is the definition of a perfectionist with her art.

She works in a wide range of themes which includes realistic portraits, landscapes, still life, Trompe L’oeil, murals, illustration, architectural interiors and exteriors, design, decorative arts, and clay. She mainly specializes in silverpoint.

Metalpoint is an ancient drawing medium used extensively during the Renaissance. Silverpoint drawing is based on a prepared Gresso surface upon which the artist draws with a fine silver rod. Anzhelika’s interest in this technique began more than two years ago. Similar to graphite drawing, silver leaves a faint mark when applied to a toothy surface. The metallic residue oxidizes over time and the drawing’s cool tones shift towards a very special, rich, warmer hue not possible to achieve any other way. The effect of light on the silver lines creates a shimmering quality that is quite different from any other drawing medium.

Anzhelika’s work is held in a number of private collections in Germany, Holland, Egypt, France, USA, and Italy.
